Founded in 2009, Acting Up is a Christ-centered theater program dedicated to using the performing arts as a way to minister to our community. Through theater, we cultivate natural talent, develop performance skills, and foster teamwork—equipping students with tools they can use both on stage and in everyday life.

Our mission is to glorify God in all we do, encouraging students to pursue excellence in their art while embodying integrity and humility. Whether in rehearsal or in performance, in class or in the community, we seek to reflect the example of Jesus—placing people above production and serving with a spirit of love and grace.

Offering classes for 2nd grade through adult, Acting Up provides a safe, nurturing environment where students of all ages can learn, grow, and shine—on and off the stage.

2026-2027 SEASON

Our Acting Up season begins in the fall and concludes with spring productions. Throughout the season, students will grow in confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills through hands-on theatrical training and live stage experience.

Classes focus on acting, audition techniques, improvisation, choreography, vocal performance, stage movement, and ensemble storytelling in a fun, encouraging, and Christ-centered environment.

We encourage early registration, as class sizes are limited and many groups fill quickly.

The Journey Begins

This year’s theme is STEP UP.

Every person has moments in life when they are called to step forward — to lead, to serve, to take a risk, to encourage someone else, or to give their best even when no one is watching.

At Acting Up, we believe theater is about far more than performing on a stage. Theater teaches confidence, teamwork, discipline, creativity, responsibility, and courage. More importantly, we believe our gifts should be used to glorify God and serve others with excellence.

This season, we are challenging every student and adult in our program to STEP UP:

  • Step up in courage.

  • Step up in kindness.

  • Step up in leadership.

  • Step up in excellence.

  • Step up in faith.

Whether you are center stage, backstage, helping with costumes, running sound, moving set pieces, or stepping onto a stage for the very first time — your role matters.

This season is not about being the biggest star.

It is about becoming the kind of person who is willing to step forward when God gives you an opportunity to serve, lead, encourage, create, or grow.

We are excited to grow together this year.
